Tumor boards

For complex cases, surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and radiologists review your case together.

Advanced diagnostics

Molecular and genomic testing, PET-CT and modern imaging, where relevant to your diagnosis.

Matched to you

We weigh your cancer type, the expertise needed, city, language and budget, not the largest hospital by default.

The six questions almost every patient asks first

If your mind is full of them right now, that is completely normal. Here is where we can help with each one, honestly.

Can I become cancer-free?

Many cancers can be cured, especially when treated at the right stage, and others can be controlled for years. The honest answer depends on your cancer type, stage, test results and general health. A specialist Doctor who has reviewed your actual reports can give you a realistic picture rather than a general one.

How a specialist opinion works

What is the best treatment for me?

Cancer is many different diseases, so the best plan is specific to you. It usually starts with confirming the diagnosis, modern molecular testing where relevant, and a joint review by surgeons, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists.

How treatment plans are built

Whom can I trust?

Trust should be checkable. You can see doctors' names and qualifications, verify a hospital's accreditation with the accrediting body, check our company details, and ask exactly how we are paid.

How you can verify us

Who will take care of me?

Your doctors provide the clinical care. A named coordinator handles everything around it: appointments, paperwork, travel, airport pick-up, hospital navigation and keeping your family informed.

What our patient team does

How much will it cost, and how will I manage it?

No one can quote a responsible price without your reports. We request an itemised estimate from the hospital, show what is and isn't included, and tell you what could change it, so you can plan before you travel.

Costs across countries

Where do I get guidance as treatment goes on?

Many hospitals offer follow-up teleconsultations once you are home, and we help arrange them. For independent explanations at any time, ASCO's Cancer.Net and NCCN's patient guides are free to read.

Trusted sources and questions to ask

Specialists who treat your type of cancer, not just any oncologist

We match your case to the relevant oncology team. A lung cancer needs a different team from a leukaemia, so we do not recommend the same doctor to everyone.

Medical oncologists

Medicines such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

Surgical oncologists

Whether surgery is right for you, and which technique, including minimally invasive and robotic options.

Radiation oncologists

Radiation planning, including precision techniques where indicated.

Free

Initial case opinion

At selected hospitals, a specialist team reviews your reports and gives an initial view of your options. Availability varies by hospital and case.

Paid, fee shared in advance

Scheduled video consultation

A live conversation with your chosen oncologist, where you and your family can ask questions. You will know the fee before you book.

Modern cancer care, chosen for you, not for the technology

New technology helps only when it fits your cancer. Your treating team decides what is medically right for you. These are the tools that may be considered.

Molecular and biomarker testing

Tests that look for changes in your tumour that can guide which medicines are most likely to help.

Targeted therapy

Medicines aimed at specific features of certain cancers.

Immunotherapy

Treatments that help the immune system respond to selected cancers.

Advanced radiation

IMRT, IGRT, SBRT and other techniques that aim radiation at the tumour while sparing healthy tissue, when indicated and available.

Minimally invasive and robotic surgery

Smaller incisions and, for suitable patients, quicker recovery.

Supportive and palliative care

Managing pain, nutrition and side effects so treatment is more comfortable.

How a treatment plan is usually built

  1. 1. Confirm the diagnosis

Pathology and imaging are reviewed, and repeated if needed.

  2. 2. Profile the tumour

Molecular testing where it could change treatment.

  3. 3. Specialists review together

A tumor board weighs surgery, medicines and radiation.

  4. 4. Plan explained to you

Goals, benefits, side effects and cost, in plain language.

Oncologists commonly refer to evidence-based guidelines such as those from ASCO and NCCN. You can read the same plain-language patient guides yourself: ASCO Cancer.Net, NCCN Guidelines for Patients, US National Cancer Institute. These organisations do not endorse Hosplan or any hospital.

Start with your diagnosis

Choose your cancer type to start a chat about it, or message us if your diagnosis is not confirmed yet.

Know the likely cost before you make travel plans

India's cancer care is often substantially less expensive than in many other countries, but there is no single price for "cancer treatment". Cost depends on the diagnosis, stage, medicines, surgery, duration and hospital.

Treatment cost comparison

Same treatment, same scope, four countries.

A good estimate should show

  • ✓Surgery, medicines and radiation, itemised
  • ✓Tests, scans and doctor fees
  • ✓Expected hospital stay and room type
  • ✓What is not included
  • ✓What could change after in-person assessment
Request a treatment cost estimate

Final costs can change after in-person evaluation, additional tests or changes in the treatment plan.

Why patients from around the world choose India for cancer treatment

Experienced oncology teams

Many Indian oncologists have trained or worked at leading centres in the US, UK and Europe, and treat a high volume of patients.

Modern technology

Advanced radiation, robotic surgery and molecular diagnostics are available in major hospitals.

Shorter waits

Many patients can begin evaluation and treatment quickly, instead of waiting weeks.

English-speaking care

Doctors and nurses communicate in English, and interpreters can be arranged for other languages.

You won't be navigating a new country alone

From your first message to your follow-up, a coordinator handles the practical work so you and your family can focus on treatment and recovery.

Before you travel

Specialist opinions, estimates, medical visa invitation letters and travel planning.

When you arrive

Airport pick-up, transfers and help settling in, as per your agreed service plan.

During treatment

Appointments, hospital navigation, stay near the hospital, interpreters, and food that suits your diet, including halal and vegetarian.

After treatment

Discharge records, follow-up consultations and staying connected once you are home.

Family members are welcome in every conversation. If you wish, we can also keep relatives updated on your behalf.

How you can be sure it is really us, and what we promise

Medical travel attracts scams, and we want you to be careful. Here is how to protect yourself, and how we protect you.

Verify who you are talking to

Check our company name and contact details at the bottom of this page. We will never ask you to pay into a personal account.

Your records stay private

Reports are shared only through a secure process, and only with the doctors reviewing your case. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

No pressure to travel

If a remote opinion or treatment closer to home is better for you, we will say so.

No promises we can't keep

No one can promise a cure. We will not promise outcomes, and we will tell you what is uncertain.

If something doesn't go as planned

Treatment can bring complications. Your coordinator is your first call, the hospital's team is available around you, and we will help with changes to travel plans or returning home. Ask us in advance how this works for your case.

If you are not happy with us

You can escalate any concern directly to our founder, Kapil Munjal.

Ongoing guidance from sources you can trust

Questions don't stop after the first consultation. Alongside your treating doctors, these free resources are written by leading cancer organisations.

These organisations are independent and do not endorse Hosplan.

Questions worth asking any oncologist

Take these to any consultation, including ours. A good doctor will welcome them.

What exactly is my cancer type and stage, and how was it confirmed?

Ask to see the pathology report and what imaging was used. A second pathology review can matter.

Has my tumour been tested for molecular changes?

For some cancers, these tests can open up targeted or immunotherapy options. Ask whether they apply to you.

Is the goal of treatment cure, control or comfort?

Understanding the goal helps you weigh benefits against side effects.

What are all my options, including doing less or waiting?

Ask how the options compare on benefit, risk and recovery time.

Has my case been reviewed by a multidisciplinary tumor board?

For many cancers, a combined review by several specialists leads to better-considered plans.

How much experience does this team have with my cancer?

It is reasonable to ask how many similar patients they treat.

What are the likely side effects and how will they be managed?

Ask who to contact if side effects start after you return home.

What is the total expected cost, and what could change it?

Ask for it in writing and itemised.

Frequently asked questions

Can I be completely cured of cancer?

Some cancers can be cured and others controlled for long periods. The outlook depends on the type, stage, biology and response to treatment. An oncologist can discuss realistic goals after reviewing your case.

Can I get an opinion without travelling to India?

Often, yes. Depending on the hospital and specialist, your records can be reviewed remotely and an online consultation may be available. We explain the process and any fees in advance.

Which reports should I prepare?

Helpful documents include a biopsy or pathology report, CT, MRI or PET reports, molecular test results if available, recent blood tests and a summary of any treatment already received. Please contact us even if some are missing.

Are the consultations free?

Some hospitals offer a complimentary initial case opinion. Scheduled video consultations may be chargeable. Availability and fees are confirmed before you book.

Will I get a cost estimate before I travel?

We request an indicative estimate from the hospital based on your medical records. Final costs can change after in-person evaluation, extra tests or changes to the plan.

Are your partner hospitals accredited?

Accreditation such as JCI or NABH applies to individual hospital facilities. We tell you which facility holds which accreditation, and you can verify it with the accrediting body.

Does Hosplan provide medical treatment?

No. Medical care is provided by licensed doctors and hospitals. Hosplan, a service of Treatment Traveller Private Limited, coordinates specialist access, communication and patient travel services.

Can you help after I return home?

We can help coordinate follow-up communication and remote appointments with the treating hospital where available. Ongoing local care should be arranged with your own clinicians.

You don't have to work through every question alone.

Tell a coordinator what you know so far. We'll listen first, then explain your options.

For urgent symptoms or emergencies, seek immediate medical care locally. WhatsApp is not an emergency service.
